Cookie Monster

Being the domesticated damsel that I am I made cookies for all of us to enjoy to celebrate Nate finishing his paper. After I pulled the first batch out of the oven, silly me set them out on a plate to cool and walked away to go to something. When I got back to the kitchen, lo and behold there was a wee monster in there pounding back cookies like there was no tomorrow. Thank goodness I had my camera and was able to capture footage of this devilish thief.

Pizza Night!

Nate had to do a 8 page paper for school before he went to work last week. He was stressed and I was tired. I'm on a new medication that makes me down right dog tired! Around noon the animals were restless so being the amazing cook that I am, I conjured up the most delicious pizza. Yes, yes I know I'm amazing! I call it Domino's Supremo! Any who, we all enjoyed our pizza! Especially Sadie Ann! She still uses her hair as a napkin...geez!

On the Road Again!

Over the weekend Nate, our friend Heather, and myself went on a road trip to Utah to play at Lagoon for a day. We had a fantastic time! After Lagoon we went to Nate's Family's cabin in the City of Rocks to spend the night. Getting to the cabin at night was creepy as all heck! The coyotes went nuts with their howling when we showed up so Nate wouldn't let us outside by ourselves in case one of the little buggers got brave. In the house we had to clean out the mouse traps (3 of them and Nate actually cleaned them, Heather and I vetoed the idea!) After a little cleaning since the flies had over taken the place, we watched a movie and then slept like the dead! The cabin is far less scary in the day light and we enjoyed ourselves checking out the scenery. We drove home on Sunday not wanting to go home! We had a great time and plan on doing it again!

Us at a gas station in Burley!

The view

Superfantastic!

Rock that looks like those Easter island guys!
Yep

Camp rock, the Pioneers of the Oregon trail spent the night under its roof like shelter. They signed their names in Axel grease on it. A lot of the signatures are wearing away and some of the local high school kids put their names on it (back in the 1920's-30's), but it's still very cool to see.

Harold King is Nate's great grandpa, he wrote his name on there in high school, what a hooligan!

All the sigs, some authentic, some not

Sneak Peek

Glenna (my sister in law) did Sadie's 2 year old pics the other day at the Train Depot. She sent me a sneak peek of the pictures and they are adorable. So without further ado here is little Miss Sadie!
My absolute favorite, jumping over the grass
Sadie and her Infamous "Didi"

Many thanks to Glenna! These turned out so cute and these are ones she hasn't even played with yet! I'm ubber excited to see the final project!

Bye-bye baby locks

A few weeks ago we took Sadie to get her hair cut when Nate needed to go. While I usually do Nate's, I just didn't have it in me so we went to the barber. Sadie didn't cry once, she was such a good girl.
The before!

And the after!

There wasn't much to cut, but we wanted it to look a little more even. It's already growing out, just really really slow. Whose blond child is this?!

Sadie's Super Spectacular Summer!! (Part II)

Forks was a blast, we went hiking and swimming. The weather was amazing, the sun was out the entire time, which NEVER happens...ever. Sadie didn't get car sick this year like she did last, so it was even funner! After we got home she spent a lot of her time slathered in sun block and in a swim suit (or diaper) in the sun having fun.

Sadie and her brand new toddler bed. Little Mermaid bedding of course!

Fun times at grandma Sheila's!

Splash!

I did her hair and wanted some cute photo's, this is what she gave me!

What a Ham!

Fun times in the bathtub.

Trying on her costume early in Sep. She's going to be Tinker Bell!

All in all it's been a great summer, but I can't wait until she's done being 2!

Sadie's Super Spectacular Summer!! (Part I)

I can't believe how fast summer has gone by. It surely is cold here in Idaho! I thought I'd do a quick over view of Sadie's summer. She has grown some much in just a couple of months. She's taller and talks even more. Now if i could get her to stop using the hair on her head as a napkin, that would be fantastic. We're currently trying to potty train her, but her interest in that is minimal at best. Hopefully by next summer she'll be ready.

Right at the beginning of the Summer we took Sadie to the Boise Zoo. She had a blasty blast!
She really loved running through the prairie dog tunnel!

At grandma Sheila's playing with her Sweet Street doll houses.

We went to Forks, WA and Kalaloch beach for camping as our family vacation this year. We had to walk across drift wood so that we could get to....

The OCEAN!

She wasn't too keen on the idea of climbing over big, wobbly dead trees everyday

But she was ever so excited to be there!

Later that night...view from our camp site AMAZING!

She loved playing in the Ocean with daddy!
Can't really see, but Nate was holding her because she was going to far out.

SOAKED!

She just couldn't get enough!
