Keeping up with the Jones'

I'm not doing very well at this blogging thing. Life just seems to get away from me! It has been quite the year thus far and I'm happy to say it's been a very blessed one! Nate is all graduated from BSU and has a job with Boise Inc as their night IT guy. The company has already told him that they love to promote within the company and for the most part people who work there stay until retirement. They are good to us and Nate really does enjoy his job even though it gets to be boring by himself at night. I miss him on nights when I have to sleep alone, but I manage and sometimes Sadie crawls into bed with me.
Sadie is a spit fire and a half. She is horribly stubborn (don't know where she got that) and has been having a blast this summer with both Grandmas and her Grandpa Jon and her Aunt and Uncle. Here she is playing in their backyard with her bubble rocket! She has started back talking me, so we're working on that. She gets to go to preschool next fall and is super excited about it. She's also asked about joining ballet and gymnastics, so we'll see which one wins and eventually let her join one. She is happy to announce that she is going to be a big sister and that baby brother Jon/John is growing in my belly.
Yes, Jon/John. I'm letting Nate decide on the spelling and in the beginning he was set of JOHN, now he's not sure and has decided that he will make his final decision when our little guy is born. Jan 15! Only 8 more weeks or less! Hopefully not too much less. I was in triage Wednesday for contractions. They were able to stop them with terbutaline and I now have a prescription of it as the contractions just don't want to go away. All in all this pregnancy hasn't been to bad besides that horrible morning sickness in the beginning.
I'm still working away in the NICU and now going to school. It'll take me a while to get done, but I should be able to apply to the nursing program soon. Pray I pass all my classes! Nate and I recently bought a house!!! This is our first house and on my next post I will post pictures! It's a great place, 4bed 2.5 bath. The laundry room is upstairs with the bedrooms and our walk in closet is the size of a small bedroom! We love being homeowners despite the money we have spent on it. It as truly been the best year for our little family!!!

Happy Newloweengivingmas!!!

It seems I am a "little" behind in my blog. Such is life! Nate and I are keeping busy, he is in his LAST semester of school. He graduates in May with his B.A.S!!!! Our schooling adventures are not over sadly, we have to send me off to school probably next year. I'm looking forward to it, but not looking forward to paying for it. Nate's career choice may end up moving us, most likely to Utah or maybe even the east coast. At any rate new adventures are in store for us this year! Here's some pics of mostly Sadie over the Holiday seasons, enjoy!

Cookie Monster

Being the domesticated damsel that I am I made cookies for all of us to enjoy to celebrate Nate finishing his paper. After I pulled the first batch out of the oven, silly me set them out on a plate to cool and walked away to go to something. When I got back to the kitchen, lo and behold there was a wee monster in there pounding back cookies like there was no tomorrow. Thank goodness I had my camera and was able to capture footage of this devilish thief.

Pizza Night!

Nate had to do a 8 page paper for school before he went to work last week. He was stressed and I was tired. I'm on a new medication that makes me down right dog tired! Around noon the animals were restless so being the amazing cook that I am, I conjured up the most delicious pizza. Yes, yes I know I'm amazing! I call it Domino's Supremo! Any who, we all enjoyed our pizza! Especially Sadie Ann! She still uses her hair as a napkin...geez!

On the Road Again!

Over the weekend Nate, our friend Heather, and myself went on a road trip to Utah to play at Lagoon for a day. We had a fantastic time! After Lagoon we went to Nate's Family's cabin in the City of Rocks to spend the night. Getting to the cabin at night was creepy as all heck! The coyotes went nuts with their howling when we showed up so Nate wouldn't let us outside by ourselves in case one of the little buggers got brave. In the house we had to clean out the mouse traps (3 of them and Nate actually cleaned them, Heather and I vetoed the idea!) After a little cleaning since the flies had over taken the place, we watched a movie and then slept like the dead! The cabin is far less scary in the day light and we enjoyed ourselves checking out the scenery. We drove home on Sunday not wanting to go home! We had a great time and plan on doing it again!

Us at a gas station in Burley!

The view

Superfantastic!

Rock that looks like those Easter island guys!
Yep

Camp rock, the Pioneers of the Oregon trail spent the night under its roof like shelter. They signed their names in Axel grease on it. A lot of the signatures are wearing away and some of the local high school kids put their names on it (back in the 1920's-30's), but it's still very cool to see.

Harold King is Nate's great grandpa, he wrote his name on there in high school, what a hooligan!

All the sigs, some authentic, some not

Sneak Peek

Glenna (my sister in law) did Sadie's 2 year old pics the other day at the Train Depot. She sent me a sneak peek of the pictures and they are adorable. So without further ado here is little Miss Sadie!
My absolute favorite, jumping over the grass
Sadie and her Infamous "Didi"

Many thanks to Glenna! These turned out so cute and these are ones she hasn't even played with yet! I'm ubber excited to see the final project!

Bye-bye baby locks

A few weeks ago we took Sadie to get her hair cut when Nate needed to go. While I usually do Nate's, I just didn't have it in me so we went to the barber. Sadie didn't cry once, she was such a good girl.
The before!

And the after!

There wasn't much to cut, but we wanted it to look a little more even. It's already growing out, just really really slow. Whose blond child is this?!
